Preparations . . .

I am just about ready and have bought and tested various small bits of kit - my last purchase being a pair of audio-technica ANC3 headphones that are active noise-cancelling headphones because the noise can be unbearable on a motorbike and although I have some custom made ear plugs these have received a great review. I have tried these on a short run locally and I was very impressed and was surprised how well they work - especially without music - just on noise cancelling mode. I imagine they are great for air travel! 

Here we can see my Camelbak hydration kit - apparently it is very easy to become de-hydrated on long bike rides. It holds 2 litres. Also visible is my Alistair Sawday book of French Bed and Breakfasts which received rave reviews on Amazon.co.uk - It looks a great book.
